Congratulations to all members of the Class of 2021! FCPS is proud to host 2021 commencement ceremonies at our high schools during the first week of June.
The schedule for the school ceremonies is below:
Graduation guests
All graduates will be provided four graduation tickets for family and friends to attend the ceremony in person. All guests are encouraged to wear facial coverings. Guest seating will have limited distancing from other guests. Gates will open at 9 a.m. for guest seating.
Guests are encouraged to carpool due to the limited parking at each school.
Graduation Livestream
All of the graduation ceremonies will be live streamed via YouTube on both the school and FCPS channels for the friends, family and the community members unable to attend in person. Each school will share the specific links for their ceremonies with their communities in a FindOutFirst next week.
All guests will be asked to place their cell phone and/or electronic devices in “Airplane” mode to maintain the highest quality signal for the livestream broadcasts.
Inclement Weather Plan
Commencement ceremonies will be held rain or shine.
In the event of severe inclement weather, every attempt will be made to reschedule later on the same day. If the ceremony cannot be held on the same day, FCPS will plan to hold the ceremony the next day. Specifics regarding any change will be shared as soon as possible via FCPS Find Out First and social media.
Limited Public Access to Stadiums
In order to prepare school sites for the ceremonies, all FCPS stadiums will be closed for public access and community use from May 27-June 5.
Heather Ridge School
Heather Ridge School is hosting a commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. June 1 at the school. Due to the ability to accommodate all guests, this ceremony will not be livestreamed.
