A Message from Dr. Terry Alban
We have reached the end of the 2020-21 school year! Schools have celebrated students and their accomplishments at year-end ceremonies. Students and families have expressed their appreciation for the efforts of staff throughout the year. We are ending this year on a positive note!
Starting June 28, FCPS is offering expansive summer options for students. Our approach is to support social emotional needs for students, provide positive social experiences and address unfinished learning. The goal is to reignite, reconnect and revolutionize. We are proud to offer these opportunities for students. A full list of our summer programs is posted online, and we will share an update next week about health protocols for them.
I would like to invite our community to watch the next Board of Education meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, where we will share an update on our fall plans. A reminder you can watch online or via FCPS Cable Channel 18. The first day for students in the 2021-22 school year is Wednesday, August 18.
In the meantime, have a safe, restful, and fun summer!
