Field Trip to Johns Hopkins University Applied Laboratory
The Enrichment Specialist is organizing a fieldtrip to the Johns Hopkins Applied Laboratory (APL) located in Laurel, Maryland. They are sponsoring a “Space Academy: RBSP Mission-Extremes of Space Weather”. APL is the same organization that manages the Hubble program and is affiliated with NASA. This is a very unique opportunity in that only 150 students a year attend this event.
The field trip is only available for up to 35 students. Only the first 35 students with the signed permission slips and fee will be able to attend. If the $5 fee is a burden to the family, please write a note stating so, and the fee will be waived. The fee covers bus transportation. For more information and the permission slip, click here.
