The Date of the UMS Science Fair has been changed. The Fair is now set for Wednesday, March 10th. It will be held just after school from 3:00-5:00 pm.
Participating students should be prepared to present to several judges. Judges will be from High School students that are in the IB program, as well as parents and community members with science backgrounds.

The UMS Science Fair will be located in the Media Center. On Friday March 12th, all students will have a chance to see the projects. The Fair is open to the public from noon- 3:00 pm. Participants may take their projects home at the 3:00 pm dismissal.

In order to compete in the UMS Science Fair, the science teachers selected 3-5 projects in each of their classes.

Any student may participate in the 29th Annual Frederick County Science and Engineering Fair. This fair will be on Saturday, March 27th at Walkersville Middle School. The event is sponsored by the Frederick Jaycees. Last year, students from UMS had the most participants and we wish to continue this tradition. Please consider entering your project in the County Fair. One can register on-line from the FCPS website. Deadline to register is Wednesday, March 17th at NOON. Use this link to see a fact sheet - http://www.fcpsteach.org/docs/SciFair%20Registration%20Info%202010.doc

Good luck to all participants at either one or both events!
